Sam Webb of The Michigan Insider suspects that true freshman Jordan Marshall has secured the third running back spot on Michigan’s depth chart, behind Donovan Edwards and Kalel Mullings. “Heading into camp the battle for the third tailback appeared to be between Benjamin Hall and Tavierre Dunlap, with Hall and his consistent chain moving efforts leading the way. But that was then, and this is now. Marshall has completely flipped the competition for RB3 on its ear.”

Marshall (Archbishop Moeller, Ohio) was the running back 6 in the 2024 Campus 2 Canton Freshman Guide, behind Missouri’s Kewan Lacey and ahead of Vanderbilt’s Johann Cardenas. His most recent ADP placed him as the 25th freshmen overall off the board.
