Troy released their depth chart for week one and it was largely in line with expectations except at the running back position where Gerald Green was the listed starter. The expectation was Damien Taylor at the RB1 spot. Taylor is listed third with an βORβ, which is surprising. They take on Nevada in what should be a rush-heavy matchup.
Green, a transfer from East Carolina by way of Georgia Southern, steps into a role vacated by Kimani Vidal. A highly valuable position for the Trojans, this puts Green on fantasy radars late in the process. Vidal was one of the most used backs in the country the last two seasons.
Taylor is RB87 in the Campus2Canton college fantasy rankings. With his surprise position on the depth chart, pivoting to Green makes sense.
