Okay, DraftKings, we see you in your bag! Dropping Army/Air Force and UTSA/Memphis onto the slate is a fun move and gives us a few new options to discuss and consider. And dare I say it, but does my favorite play from this slate come from one of these teams?
Quarterbacks
High Priced
It sounds crazy, but Bryson Daily ($9,200) might be the top player on the slate on Saturday. Heβs been a machine in 2024, rushing for two touchdowns or more in every game but two, and has nine scores in his last two games. Daily is a near lock for the rushing bonus, too, hitting that mark in every game since the home opener. This is not the Air Force of old. Army should have its way, and Vegas agrees, giving them an implied team total in the low to mid-30s.
I think Cam Ward ($10,800) is priced too high at $10,800, and considering the other options on the slate, heβs in play if you think heβs viable for a bounceback. Iβd rather him than Jaxson Dart ($9,300) at their price points. Ward is coming off one bad game, while Dart hasnβt reached the production we need out of him in a month.
Middle of the Pack
Wow, what a tough slate for some of these higher-priced guys. Will Howard ($8,100) played a really good Oregon team in Week 7 and ended with 31 fantasy points, so heβs not an avoid against Penn State. I still donβt love the play. A sprinkle feels right, considering the matchup.

Iβd prefer Avery Johnson ($8,000) against Houston. Thatβs a prime matchup, and we saw Avery decide to run the ball in the matchup against Kansas. He has four rushing touchdowns in his past four games. Donβt look now, but he is a serviceable passer! Heβs thrown 2+ touchdowns in four straight.
