The 2024 NFL Season is here, and with it comes some lineup questions. Which moves should you make to maximize your points? Let this weekly post be your guide as I offer one start and one sit suggestion at QB, RB, WR, and TE. These suggestions are based on my rankings against consensus each week. Because we want to measure our success, we check back each week for a recap of how we did.
For this project, a start is a player I think will finish Top 12 at QB or TE and Top 24 at RB or WR. A sit is a player I think will finish outside those metrics. Before we dive into this weekβs suggestions, letβs review how we did last week. All scoring is courtesy of Fantasy Pros.
Week 14 Starts:
QB: Joe Burrow, QB3 Hit. Burrow stays hot.
RB: Bucky Irving, RB46 Miss. Irving was injured and didnβt get the volume.
WR: Ladd McConkey, NA Miss. McConkey was inactive on Sunday. It was a blow to my lineups, too.
TE: David Njoku, TE5 Hit. With another 13 targets, he remains red hot.
Start Record: 2.2
Week 14 Sits:
QB: Kirk Cousins, QB23 Hit. Cousins continues to struggle.
RB: Raiders RBs, RB25 Hit. Sincere McCormick was the best, but still out of the Top 24.
WR: Malik Nabers, WR23 Miss. Nabers just made the cut.
TE: Cade Otton, TE8 Miss. Otton got enough volume in a down TE week to make it.
Sit Record: 2-2
Now, on to the Week 15 picks.
Quarterbacks
Start: Bo Nix, Denver Broncos

About: Now that byes are over, we have a full complement of options, and everyone is on equal footing regarding games played. Nix is QB8 on the season and has been hot. This week, heβs home against a middling Colts defense with a lot on the line. Heβll have a good game and propel the Broncos to their first winning season in a decade.
Sit: Aaron Rodgers, New York Jets
About: Rodgers is still a big name with big weapons. His team is also playing a bad Jaguars team. That being said, he hasnβt been a reliable play. The Jets are spiraling, and Iβm not sure weβve seen the bottom yet. He might be a Superflex option, but heβs certainly nowhere near the Top 12 for me as a quarterback. You have to have better options.
Running Backs
Start: Rico Dowdle, Dallas Cowboys

About: A funny thing has happened of late. The Cowboys have been feeding Dowdle and appear to have found a running back. Over the last three weeks, Dowdle has beenΒ RB9. Heβs getting the volume, and heβs been producing big numbers as the Cowboys try to keep their faint playoff hopes alive. Heβs become a solid play.
Sit: Broncos Running Backs
About: Javonte Williams, Audric Estime, Jaleel McLaughlinβall three are getting touches for the Broncos. One of them could be good enough to be a Top 24 play on any given week. But which to choose? Thatβs a suckerβs game, especially during the fantasy playoffs. Iβm staying away for now.
Wide Receivers
Start: Zay Flowers, Baltimore Ravens

About: Flowers has been the most consistent piece of the Ravensβ passing game. Heβs WR15 on the season and is getting consistent targets. The second-year player is an under-the-radar receiver option, but a good play in a week when a rested Ravens team is battling a weak Giants squad.
Sit: Michael Pittman, Jr., Indianapolis Colts
About: I have been high on Pittman, and the extension he got showed the Colts value him, too. But this hasnβt been his year. Heβs dealt with nagging injuries, been surpassed by Josh Downs on the field, and dealt with inconsistent quarterback play. Facing a good Broncosβ secondary in Week 15 wonβt help. Heβs WR51 on the season, averaging just over nine points per game. Heβs not a reliable Top 24 option this week.
Tight Ends
Start: Jonnu Smith, Miami Dolphins

About: Man, Smith has been a gift to those who snagged him at a low cost heading into the season. While Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle are the bigger names, Smith has just produced. Heβs TE4 on the season, averaging more than 12 points per game. Heβs been particularly hot since Tua Tagovailoa returned. He should be in your lineup.
Sit: Jake Ferguson, Dallas Cowboys
About: Ferguson had an amazing 2023 campaign. He was a big part of the Cowboysβ passing attack and a great asset in fantasy. This year hasnβt gone as well. Heβs missed time with injury, and the Cowboysβ offense has been a mess. I still like the talent, but thereβs not enough volume to trust him as a starter, especially in the playoffs.
