The 2024 Season is in the books. While thereβs still some playoff football to help us see how players do in the clutch, for dynasty players itβs a time to sit back, take stock and see how players fared.
Over the next couple weeks, Iβll be looking back at the 2024, 2023 and 2022 classes by position. Iβll be evaluating if their stock rose, remained the same or dropped during the course of the season. Now could be the time to sell high, buy low or hold on to a winning hand. Today, I continue with the 2022 Quarterbacks.
Stock Up: Malik Willis, Green Bay Packers

About: This time last year, things didnβt look good for Willis. Heβs flamed out in two years with the Titans and seemed on the roster bubble. That proved true, but he found new life as he was traded to the Green Bay Packers. Willis started two games for the Packersβboth winsβand threw three touchdowns with no interceptions. He didnβt light the world on fire with his passing, but it was a huge step up that showed he has potential as a veteran backup and spot starter in the league. Willis is worth a speculative add in deep dynasty leagues.
Stock Neutral: Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers
About: Purdy had another strong year as a starter. He finished as QB14 despite missing two starts and despite all the injuries to the 49ers. He seems in line for a lucrative extension and is a solid bet in dynasty for now. So, why the stock neutral? Purdy didnβt take a step forward in 2024. Some might argue he took a step back, but I contend heβs right about where he was last off-season. If youβre holding him in Dynasty, heβs a solid QB2.
Stock Neutral: Kenny Pickett, Philadelphia Eagles
About: Pickett has seemingly moved squarely into the backup phase of his career. He was traded from the Steelers to Eagles and served capably as Jalen Hurtsβ backup. He didnβt do much, if anything, to move the needle forward. Pickett probably wonβt be a starter in the league again. But he proved he can be a capable backup.
Stock Down: Sam Howell, Seattle Seahawks

About: Howellβs year as a starter for the Commanders didnβt go well. He ended up being traded to the Seattle Seahawks to backup Geno Smith. He didnβt see much action, but when he did, it was bad. In a relief appearance, he went five-for-14 for 24 yards and an interception. Howell didnβt look good and itβs hard to tell how the Seahawks, and yet another Offensive Coordinator, will view him. Heβs not worth a roster spot.
Stock Down: Desmond Ridder, Las Vegas Raiders
About: Ridder flamed out hard in 2024. He was moved from the Atlanta Falcons to the Arizona Cardinals, where he didnβt even do enough to land on the active roster as a backup. He was later acquired by the Las Vegas Raiders, who were desperate for a quarterback, and showed very little. Thatβs inauspicious. Even in a league desperate for quarterbacks, itβs hard to tell if Ridder has even got value on an NFL roster. He certainly shouldnβt be taking up space on a Dynasty roster.
Stock Down: Bailey Zappe, Cleveland Browns
About: Zappe was probably a victim of a regime change in New England. He was drafted higher than many expected by Bill Belichick and the Patriots and foist into a starting position on the field before he was likely ready. With the changes there, and drafting Drake Maye, he became expendable. He signed on with the Cleveland Browns and ended up seeing the field some but didnβt offer much. Heβs not worth a roster spot in Dynasty and will likely struggle to make an NFL roster as more than an emergency third quarterback.
