The 2024 Season is in the books. While thereβs still some playoff football to help us see how players do in the clutch, for dynasty players, itβs a time to sit back, take stock, and see how players fared. Over the next few months, Iβll look back at the 2024, 2023, and 2022 classes by position. Iβll be evaluating if their stock rose, remained the same, or dropped during the course of the season. Now could be the time to sell high, buy low, or hold on to a winning hand. Today, I continue with the 2023 Quarterbacks.
Stock Up: Bryce Young, Carolina Panthers
About: Young, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, had a disastrous rookie season. His start to 2024 under new coach Dave Canales seemed equally grim, leading to him getting benched. That could have been the end. But Young took time to learn and grow, and when he regained the starting spot a few games later, he thrived. His second year was a massive step up, particularly down the stretch when the Panthers were a dangerous team. That provides hope for his 2025 campaign and the fantasy players who took him early and need him to become a reliable weekly option.
Stock Up: Dorian Thompson-Robinson, Cleveland Browns

About: Another player who did not have a good rookie season. His second year wasnβt incredibly impressive, but as it stands now, heβs got a chance to figure in the mix as the quarterback for the Browns. The team has no cap space and a starter in Deshaun Watson, who is unlikely to see the field after tearing his Achilles twice last season. That could spell the end if the Browns take a quarterback at No. 2, but DTR is worth a stash for now.
Stock Down: C.J. Stroud, Houston Texans
About: After a rookie season that earned him Offensive Rookie of the Year honors, Stroud didnβt have a great sophomore season. The Texansβ line struggled, and the team suffered injuries. Despite playing in two more games and completing more passes on more attempts, Stroud had fewer yards, fewer touchdowns, and more interceptions. Heβs still a borderline QB1 in Dynasty, but the talk of him being a Top 5 option has cooled, especially as the Texans look at coaching and personnel changes on offense this off-season.
Stock Down: Anthony Richardson, Indianapolis Colts
About: Few people had as limp a second season as Richardson. He was injured, took himself out of the game because he was tired, and got benched for a few weeks for veteran Joe Flacco. Through it all, Richardson looked rough as a passer while his team slipped out of the playoff picture. He finished with a 47.7 percent completion percentage and more interceptions than touchdowns in 2024. That led the Colts to promise serious QB competition in 2025. All that bodes poorly for those who took Richardson as a top pick in Superflex rookie drafts in 2023.
Stock Down: Will Levis, Tennessee Titans

About: Levis didnβt look good as a starter in 2024. In fact, heβs yet another second-year quarterback who found himself on the bench as Mason Rudolph finished the season. Now, the Titans hold the first overall pick. Levis doesnβt seem like the answer at quarterback, but will he get another shot? The Titans seem to be zeroing in on Abdul Carter with the top pick. They could and should pursue a quarterback in free agency, but Levis may get more time to prove himself. If youβre holding him in Dynasty, you canβt feel great about his prospects, especially if he remains a Titan.
Stock Down: Aidan OβConnell, Las Vegas Raiders
About: OβConnell was a pick by Josh McDaniels. Now, heβll be on his third coach in as many years. He lost the pre-season competition to Gardner Minshew to start in 2024. He ended up starting seven games, going 2-5. Heβs been solid but unspectacular in his 17 starts. OβConnell profiles more as a solid backup than a reliable starter, and itβs clear that the Raiders will go a different direction with the position this off-season. OβConnell doesnβt need to be rostered.
Stock Down: Hendon Hooker, Detroit Lions
About: We havenβt seen Hooker play in his two years. Last season, heading into a tough stretch of the season, the Lions opted to bring back retired Teddy Bridgewater to back up Jared Goff. Goff also got a long-term extension, meaning the Lions wonβt need a starter quarterback any time soon. All that means Hooker isnβt worth a roster spot.
