Chris Murray is reporting that Chubba Purdy will be the likely QB1 for Nevada heading into the fall. This spring he was in a battle with AJ Bianco and it looks like Purdy at the very least has a strong leg up on the competition. The position had a need for a replacement after the team’s 2024 starter, Brendon Lewis, bolted for Memphis this offseason. 2025 will be Purdy’s sixth collegiate season after starting his career at Florida State before transferring to Nebraska and Nevada.
