The 2025 NFL Season is here, and with it comes some lineup questions. Which moves should you make to maximize your points? Let this weekly post be your guide as I offer one start and one sit suggestion at QB, RB, WR, and TE. These suggestions are based on my rankings compared to the consensus each week. And because we want to measure our success, check back each week for a recap on how I did.

For this project, a start is a player I think will finish in the Top 12 at QB or TE and the Top 24 at RB or WR. A sit is a player I think will finish outside those metrics. Before we dive into this week’s suggestions, let’s review how we did last week. All scoring is courtesy of Fantasy Pros.

Before we look forward, it’s time to look back at Week 11.

Week 11 Starts

QB: Caleb Williams, QB22 Miss. Williams didn’t have a big day, but the Bears did win, so there’s that.
RB: De’Von Achane, RB6 Hit. Achane remains red-hot.
WR: Rashee Rice, WR34 Miss. Rice was the Chiefs’ best receiver, but it wasn’t enough volume.
TE: Dalton Schultz, TE8 Hit. Schultz continues to do work for the Texans.
Start Record: 2-2

Week 11 Sits

QB: Bryce Young, QB2 Miss. Young looked like a superstar on Sunday.
RB: Kimani Vidal, RB55 Hit. Vidal and the rest of the Chargers were bad on Sunday.
WR: Jerry Jeudy, WR60 Hit. Jeudy doesn’t get enough consistent volume.
TE: T.J. Hockenson, TE19 Hit. Not enough volume for Hockenson in Minnesota.
Sit Record: 3-1

Now, on to the Week 12 picks.

Quarterbacks

Start: Drake Maye, New England Patriots

About: Maye has been great this year, sitting at QB2 through 11 weeks. This week, he gets the Cincinnati Bengals. The Patriots have the chance to become the first 10-win team in the league, and Maye has been a massive part of that success. It’s wheels up this week.

Sit: Tyrod Taylor, New York Jets

About: The Jets made the switch to Taylor this week. The hope is he’ll stabilize the passing game and the Jets offense as a whole. It’s a nice theory. But the Jets still lack consistent passing weapons. I don’t love the matchup this week, either. I don’t think Justin Fields was the Jets’ only problem, nor do I believe Taylor will be the answer.

Running Backs

Start: Breece Hall, New York Jets

About: While I might not like Taylor and the passing game, Hall has been by far the best part of the Jets’ offense. He’s RB14 on the season. I expect the Jets to continue to lean on Hall in the run game and to feed him in the passing game. He should be in your lineup.

Sit: Chase Brown, Cincinnati Bengals

About: Brown is the workhorse back for the Bengals. That has yielded good results as he sits at RB17 on the season. But you can’t run on the Patriots. The Bengals are hosting the Patriots on Sunday. While Brown may get enough passing volume to squeak into RB2 numbers, I’m not counting on it. He’s a sit for me.

Wide Receivers

Start: Davante Adams, Los Angeles Rams

About: The Rams are 8-2 and near the top of the NFC. While Puka Nacua has been great, he’s not the only great passing asset for the Rams. Perhaps the biggest acquisition of the off-season was Adams, who currently sits at WR7 on the season. He’s been an enormous threat in the Red Zone and a big part of the Rams’ success. I think that continues Sunday night against the Buccaneers.

Sit: Darnell Mooney, Atlanta Falcons

About: It’s been a lost season for Mooney. Now, it’s kind of a lost season for the Falcons. But with Kirk Cousins back in at quarterback and Drake London struggling with a knee injury, there is an opportunity for Mooney. You might be tempted to put him back in your lineup, too. I’m not there. Cousins hasn’t been great, and Mooney has been a non-factor. I think it could be a long day in New Orleans.

Tight Ends

Start: Juwan Johnson, New Orleans Saints

About: Johnson has been a factor for the Saints at tight end all season. He sits as TE7 on the season, and he’s been a reliable target in the offense. With Rashid Shaheed in Seattle, Johnson’s role has become even more vital. The Saints are actually favored at home this week. I like Johnson as a start.

Sit: Cade Otton, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

About: I like Otton and I like the talent. But the consistent targets aren’t there this season. Otton comes into Week 12 at TE22. Facing a tough Rams’ defense on the road, I don’t think Otton will get enough volume to be a good start.
