The 2025 NFL Season is here, and with it comes some lineup questions. Which moves should you make to maximize your points? Let this weekly post be your guide as I offer one start and one sit suggestion at QB, RB, WR, and TE. These suggestions are based on my rankings compared to the consensus each week. And because we want to measure our success, check back each week for a recap on how I did.

For this project, a start is a player I think will finish in the Top 12 at QB or TE and the Top 24 at RB or WR. A sit is a player I think will finish outside those metrics. Before we dive into this week’s suggestions, let’s review how we did last week. All scoring is courtesy of Fantasy Pros.

Before we look forward, it’s time to look back at Week 12.

Week 12 Starts

QB: Drake Maye, QB12 Hit. Maye stayed hot.
RB: Breece Hall, RB15 Hit. Hall is the best part of the Jets’ offense.
WR: Davante Adams, WR8 Hit. Adams had two touchdowns Sunday night.
TE: Juwan Johnson, TE12 Hit. Johnson continues to produce for the Saints.
Start Record: 4-0

Week 12 Sits

QB: Tyrod Taylor, QB17 Hit. Taylor wasn’t a huge upgrade on Justin Fields.
RB: Chase Brown, RB13 Miss. Brown went for more than 100 against the Patriots.
WR: Darnell Mooney, WR16 Miss. Mooney came to life with Kirk Cousins.
TE: Cade Otton, TE22 Hit. Otton isn’t getting enough volume.
Sit Record: 2-2

Now, on to the Week 13 picks.

Quarterbacks

Start: Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills

About: I get it, Allen looked bad against the Texans. Two interceptions, no touchdowns, eight sacks… it wasn’t encouraging. He also had a middling to poor fantasy performance, too. Now, he’s on the road against the Steelers. In years past, that would be a red flag. But this Steelers defense isn’t incredible. I think Allen will be back to normal in a game the Bills have to have.

Sit: Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens

About: In the three games since his return, Jackson is just QB21, averaging 10 points per game. Yes, it’s an attractive matchup this week, but Jackson doesn’t look like himself. He’s also not running, and the passing volume hasn’t been impressive. Could he explode here? It’s possible, but I’m not banking on it.

Running Backs

Start: Travis Etienne, Jacksonville Jaguars

About: The Jaguars are in the thick of the playoff hunt. They have eight wins and have been playing strongly, much of that due to Etienne. He’s RB12 on the season and has been frequently the best part of the Jaguars’ offense. This week, the team faces a poor Titans team. I expect Etienne to continue to eat. He’s a great start.

Sit: R.J. Harvey, Denver Broncos

About: I like Harvey. I think he’s going to be an asset for the Broncos. And, without J.K. Dobbins, he should get all the work. The problem is that it’s hard to trust the Broncos’ offense in general, and even more challenging to figure out the backfield rotation. Harvey could go for three touchdowns, or he could post single-digit points as he did in Week 10 and Week 11. I’m not trusting him.

Wide Receivers

Start: Ja’Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals

About: Chase was suspended in Week 12. He’s likely not pleased about that. Now, not only does he return, but Joe Burrow returns as well on Thanksgiving. Yes, they’re playing the Ravens. But that’s not a defense that scares anyone. And with Tee Higgins out, Chase is going to eat. He’s a great start.

Sit: Deebo Samuel, Washington Commanders

About: It’s possible Terry McLaurin is back on Sunday. The Commanders may play Jayden Daniels on Sunday, too. But they’re definitely going against the Broncos’ defense on Sunday night. The Broncos have been shutting people down, and Samuel isn’t likely to overcome that. He’s a good player, but this is a terrible matchup. He’s a sit for me.

Tight Ends

Start: Brock Bowers, Las Vegas Raiders

About: Bowers is the best part of the Raiders’ passing offense. I realize the Raiders’ offense hasn’t been good this season, but they may get a bump this week after dismissing Chip Kelly. Either way, they’re on the road against the Chargers, and they’ll need points. I like Bowers for fantasy.

Sit: Kyle Pitts, Atlanta Falcons

About: Pitts has had some decent moments in 2025, but like the rest of his time in the NFL, it hasn’t been consistent. Now, with Cousins back in and Drake London set to return, he’s hardly a lock for targets. He could go off, but I’m not trusting a player who has had just four double-digit games all year.
