The 2025 NFL Season is here, and with it comes some lineup questions. Which moves should you make to maximize your points? Let this weekly post be your guide as I offer one start and one sit suggestion at QB, RB, WR, and TE. These suggestions are based on my rankings compared to the consensus each week. And because we want to measure our success, check back each week for a recap on how I did.
For this project, a start is a player I think will finish in the Top 12 at QB or TE and the Top 24 at RB or WR. A sit is a player I think will finish outside those metrics. Before we dive into this weekβs suggestions, letβs review how we did last week. All scoring is courtesy of Fantasy Pros.
Before we look forward, itβs time to look back at Week 15.
Week 15 Starts
QB: Jaxson Dart, QB9 Hit. Dart had a solid game despite the loss.
RB: Woody Marks, RB25 Miss. Marksβ injury limited his snaps.
WR: Tet McMillan, WR73 Miss. McMillan had his worst game of the season. I guess Iβm blessed.
TE: George Kittle, TE6 Hit. Kittle stays hot.
Start Record: 2-2
Week 15 Sits
QB: Jordan Love, QB19 Hit. Love had a hot start, but the Broncosβ defense kept him in check.
RB: Rico Dowdle, RB22 Miss. Dowdleβs touchdown was just enough to offset the split.
WR: Rome Odunze, NA Hit. Odunze was a late, late scratch.
TE: Darren Waller, TE3 Miss. Waller caught two late touchdowns to have a great day.
Sit Record: 2-2
Now, on to the Week 16 picks.
Quarterbacks

Start: Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers
About: Herbert is currently sitting as QB11 on the season. While he might have flown under the radar quite a bit, heβs continued to produce for fantasy despite injuries up and down the line and in the backfield. Now, he gets a game against the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboysβ defense had made some strides, but the past two weeks, theyβve been shreddedβincluding in Week 15 by J.J. McCarthy. So, I think Herbert is an excellent start for the fantasy playoffs.
Sit: Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars
About: Lawrence threw for five touchdowns and more than 300 yards in Week 15. He likely helped those who started him to thrive in the first round of the fantasy playoffs. And the Jaguarsβ offense is coming together as they move toward the playoffs. But this week, he faces the Broncosβ defense in Denver. Last week, the Broncos held down Jordan Love. I think theyβll do the same to Lawrence.
Running Backs

Start: Jahmyr Gibbs, Detroit Lions
About: Gibbs didnβt help you a lot in Week 15. For the first week of the fantasy playoffs, he finished with just 9.8 points. You might be weary, but if you survived the first round, donβt get cute. Iβm not afraid of the Steelersβ defense, and I think Gibbs, who is averaging more than 22 fantasy points per game, is still a great start. Iβm firing him up.
Sit: R.J. Harvey, Denver Broncos
About: Harvey has done a good job of taking over the lead role since J.K. Dobbins went down with a season-ending injury. But in Week 15, he sustained a rib injury. That makes his ability to carry the full load questionable. In addition, the Jaguarsβ defense has done a nice job of bottling up running backs this season. So, if you need a playoff win, there are better options than Harvey in Week 16.
Wide Receivers

Start: Chris Olave, New Orleans Saints
About: Olave has gone under the radar a bit this season, but heβs continued to thrive despite a down year for the New Orleans Saints. Olave currently sits as WR8 on the season, averaging nearly 15 points per game. This week, the Saints host the New York Jets, a team that just gave up 48 points in Week 15 and fired their defensive coordinator. The Saints are favored at home, and I think Olave will thrive.
Sit: Stefon Diggs, New England Patriots
About: Diggs is the biggest name in the Patriotsβ receiver room, and he had a strong start to the season. But, since Week 12, he hasnβt had more than five points in any game. The Patriots play a desperate and improving Ravens team this week, and Iβm not optimistic that Diggs goes off. Heβs not a reliable starting option.
Tight Ends

Start: Kyle Pitts, Atlanta Falcons
About: Pitts started slow this season, which might have led you to put him on the bench. But the past three weeks, with Kirk Cousins back at the helm, Pitts has come on. He had a historic game in Week 15, but heβs had 15 or more fantasy points each of the last three weeks. The Falcons have a good matchup this week in Arizona, so Iβm riding Pitts in the fantasy playoffs.
Sit: Dalton Kincaid, Buffalo Bills
About: Kincaid has had some strong moments this season. But heβs also struggled with injuries and, like all Billsβ pass catchers, has been inconsistent. Of late, the Bills have also leaned on their other tight end, Dawson Knox. Given that and a matchup with the Browns, Iβm not trusting Kincaid to give me Top 12 production in a must-win week.
