The 2024 season is upon us. Are you ready? Hopefully, you’re in for a winning campaign. But those of us who play Dynasty know it’s a 365-day-a-year endeavor. When we’re in season, it’s about patching roster holes and making pickups that can benefit you long-term.

Below are the players on your Waiver Wire that might be worth targeting. As we begin bye weeks, that will be even more crucial. All roster percentages are courtesy of the NFL.

Quarterbacks

Desmond Ridder, Las Vegas Raiders

Roster Percentage: 0

About: The Raiders are in flux. They just fired their offensive staffβ€”including Offensive Coordinator Luke Getsy. The team also is in search of a quarterback. Ridder was on the Falcons in 2023 and was traded to the Cardinals. He languished on the Practice Squad before being signed by the Raiders in the wake of the injury to Aidan O’Connell. He got into the game on Sunday, and it looks like the Raiders, now 2-7 on the season, have seen enough of Gardner Minshew. Ridder is worth a pickup.

Cooper Rush, Dallas Cowboys

Roster Percentage: 0

About: Dak Prescott left Sunday’s game with a hamstring injury. He’s due more testing this week to determine the extent of the injury. Rush came in for him on Sunday, and we’ve seen Rush guide the offense well in the past when Prescott has missed time. Rush could be a good pickup this week for those who roster Dak.

Running Backs

Cam Akers, Minnesota Vikings

Roster Percentage: 5.5

About: Akers is on his second team of the season after starting with the Houston Texans. He was traded back to the Vikings, where he filled in last year before suffering an injury. In his short time back, he’s already displaced Ty Chandler, a non-factor in Sunday’s win. Aaron Jones is still the guy there, but Akers showed he can make an impact Sunday night. He’s worth a pickup if he’s on the wire in your league.

Chris Rodriguez, Jr., Washington Commanders

Roster Percentage: 0

About: The Commanders have shown they are a two-back team. When Brian Robinson, Jr., missed Sunday’s game with a hamstring injury, it was Rodriguez who helped fill the backfield void. He had 11 carries, turning it into 52 yards. As Robinson ails, Rodriguez might be worth a pickup for those looking for backfield insurance.

Wide Receivers

Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Tennessee Titans

Roster Percentage: 0

About: The Titans need weapons after shipping DeAndre Hopkins off to the Chiefs. For the past two weeks, Westbrook-Ikhine has been the guy stepping up. He caught five passes for 50 yards and a touchdown on six targets Sunday. He’s worth a stash.

Parker Washington, Jacksonville Jaguars

Roster Percentage: 0.3

About: Brian Thomas, Jr. is the best receiver for the Jaguars. But with Christian Kirk out for the year and Gabe Davis ailing, the team is in need of other weapons. We’ve seen Washington step up when called up in the past. On Sunday, he caught three passes for 41 yards on six targets. His target total was second most on the team. Given the issues in Jacksonville, he’s worth a roster stash.

Ray Ray McCloud, Atlanta Falcons

Roster Percentage: 2.5

About: Drake London is having a great season. He also left Sunday’s game with a hip injury. With London out, Kyle Pitts and Darnell Mooney stepped up. So, too, did McCloud, who caught three passes for 28 yards and a touchdown. With London ailing, McCloud could be in line for an uptick in targets. If you’re looking for a flex option, he’s worth a stash, considering the offense in Atlanta.

Cedrick Wilson and Marquez Valdes-Scantling, New Orleans Saints

Roster Percentage: 0.1; 0.1

About: The Saints receiving group is in rough shape. Rashid Shaheed is on IR. Bub Means is on IR. Chris Olave is dealing with concussion issues. So, it’s next men up in New Orleans. That means Wilson and MVS, who was recently added to the squad. The Saints have to throw to someone other than Alvin Kamara, so it’s worth adding these receiving options.

Ashton Dulin, Indianapolis Colts

Roster Percentage: 0

About: The Colts have a gaggle of healthy receivers and tight ends, yet Dulin got carries and a couple of meaningful targets in Sunday night’s game. The team is looking for a spark, and it seems Dulin has a role in the offense. It might not be a big roleβ€”and he’s certainly more of a Special Teams guyβ€”but he’s worth a stash in deep leagues if you have roster space.

Jonathan Mingo, Dallas Cowboys

Roster Percentage: 0.1

About: Mingo never really made much of an impact on the Panthers. He’s been passed by Xavier Legette and Jalen Coker. Now, he’s been traded to a Cowboys team desperate for weapons. Will he make an impact? It’s hard to say since the Cowboys are a mess. But Dallas sent a Fourth-Round pick to acquire him, so maybe he’s worth a stash.

Tight Ends

Theo Johnson, New York Giants

Roster Percentage: 0

About: Johnson might be toiling on some Practice Squads in deep dynasty leagues, but it’s also possible he was a player released when the season started, and roster space became a premium. For the Giants, he seems to be settling into the primary tight end role. He caught three passes for 51 yards and a touchdown on six targets. He’s worth a stash for those feeling thin at tight end.
