The 2024 season is upon us. Are you ready? Hopefully, you’re in for a winning campaign. But those of us who play Dynasty know it’s a 365-day-a-year endeavor. When we’re in season, it’s about patching roster holes and making pickups that can benefit you long-term.

Below are the players on your Waiver Wire that might be worth targeting. With the playoffs beginning, it’s time to fill all those roster holes. All roster percentages are courtesy of the NFL.

Quarterbacks

Desmond Ridder, Las Vegas Raiders

Roster Percentage: 0

About: Ridder could be the next man up for the Raiders. Aidan O’Connell tweaked his knee, and while he will try to go next week, it’s hardly a lock. If you’re hurting at quarterback, Ridder has some starting experience.

Spencer Rattler and Jake Haener, New Orleans Saints

Roster Percentage: 0.1; 0

About: Derek Carr has a concussion and a hand injury, leaving him week-to-week. The next men up are the rookie Rattler and second-year man Haener. It’s hard to say who is the better option at this point. Rattler got the starts when Carr was hurt earlier this year, but he didn’t fare well. Haener could get his chance now.

Running Backs

Patrick Taylor, Jr., San Francisco 49ers

Roster Percentage: 0.5

About: The running back position has been a horror for the 49ers all season. Elijah Mitchell, Christian McCaffrey, and Jordan Mason are all on IR. Now, Isaac Guerendo has a foot injury. His status for Week 15 is unknown, especially with the 49ers playing on Thursday night. Taylor is the next man up and should be rostered.

Isaiah Davis, New York Jets

Roster Percentage: 0.8

About: Davis, the rookie for the Jets, got his second touchdown in as many weeks on Sunday. With Breece Hall ailing, Davis has gotten involved and made the most of his snaps. In addition to being a good handcuff, he’s got some upside as a stash in deep dynasty leagues.

Kendre Miller, New Orleans Saints

Roster Percentage: 0.2

About: Miller spent most of his time in the doghouse when Dennis Allen was the Saints’ coach. Allen is gone now, and Miller is back from IR. That led to 10 carries on Sunday and a touchdown. Miller remains an intriguing prospect for his potential. He’s worth a pickup and a stash with all the injuries on offense and a new coaching staff.

Ty Johnson, Buffalo Bills

Roster Percentage: 0.7

About: I like Ray Davis, and he seems like the best backup to James Cook. But Johnson continues to get opportunities in the passing game. If you’re in a deep league and hurting for options, he’s a flier at flex that can pay off big, like he did Sunday.

Raheem Blackshear, Carolina Panthers

Roster Percentage: 0.1

About: This is about a dearth of options at the position. Chuba Hubbard is the lead back for the Panthers, but with Miles Sanders and Jonathon Brooks on IR, that leaves Blackshear as the next man up. He’s worth a stash at the least.

Wide Receivers

Tim Patrick, Detroit Lions

Roster Percentage: 0.2

About: Patrick has worked himself back from injuries in back-to-back seasons. He’s become a consistent contributor and third receiver for a good Detroit Lions offense. We probably saw his best game of the year on Thursday night, but he’s a guy that you can plug in for five to ten points a week. That’s worth a roster spot.

Ray-Ray McCloud, Atlanta Falcons

Roster Percentage: 2.5

About: The Falcons have a lot of talented pass catchers on the roster. The pass offense has also been off of late. However, McCloud seems to have developed a consistent role as a PPR option week-to-week. He’s a third receiver, but he’s getting more consistent volume than some of the team’s bigger stars, like Kyle Pitts. He’s worth a grab heading into the postseason.

Mack Hollins, Buffalo Bills

Roster Percentage: 0.1

About: The Bills have many options and like to spread the ball around. You’re not guaranteed anything with Hollinsβ€”especially volume. But he seems to have a connection with Josh Allen and a nose for the end zone. If you want an end-of-bench guy who is a lineup YOLO, he’s your man.

Tight Ends

Juwan Johnson, New Orleans Saints

Roster Percentage: 2.0

About: Alvin Kamara and Marquez Valdes-Scantling can’t catch them all. With Taysom Hill now done for the year and the Saints missing receivers, tight end Johnson has stepped up. We’ve seen him thrive in this offense before. He’s worth a pickup for those thin at the position.

Daniel Bellinger, New York Giants

Roster Percentage: 0.1

About: This goes under the β€œif you’re desperate” header at tight end. Theo Johnson was doing some nice things, but he’s on IR and done for the season. That leaves the veteran Bellinger to fill the void at tight end. The Giants’ offense is a mess, but Bellinger is getting volume. You could do worse.
