The 2024 season is upon us. Are you ready? Hopefully, youβre in for a winning campaign. But those of us who play Dynasty know itβs a 365-day-a-year endeavor. When weβre in season, itβs about patching roster holes and making pickups that can benefit you in the long term. Below are the players that might be on your Waiver Wire that are worth targeting. All roster percentages are courtesy of the NFL.
Quarterbacks
Skylar Thompson and Tyler Huntley, Miami Dolphins

Roster Percentage: 0
About: This is all about the injury to Tua Tagovailoa, who suffered a concussion that knocked him out of the game on Thursday. Tua has a long history of concussions, so itβs no lock. Heβs back and ready to play quickly. The Dolphins seem to feel this, snagging Huntley off the Brownsβ practice squad to join Thompson, giving them options at QB. I think Thompson is the most likely starter in Week 3, but Huntley has some upside and more starting experience. If youβre thin at QB, either is worth a grab.
Andy Dalton, Carolina Panthers
Roster Percentage: 0
About: After two poor weeks, Bryce Young has been benched. Dalton is a veteran who has enjoyed success throughout his careerβincluding last year when he started for the Panthers in place of Young. He has decent weapons to bring some QB2 upside in Superflex.
Running Backs
Carson Steele and Samaje Perine, Kansas City Chiefs
Roster Percentage: 0.9; 0.5
About: Isaih Pacheco is ailing. His fibula injury is landing him on the IR, meaning heβs out for at least four weeks. It could be longer. That leaves Steele and Perine as the immediate options on the roster. Itβs possible the Chiefs bring in a backβprobably even likelyβbut these guys know the system and are on the roster already. They should both be on a roster in your league.
Isaac Guerendo, San Francisco 49ers

Roster Percentage: 0.5
About: Some may have snagged Guerendo in rookie drafts, but if heβs on waivers, Iβd pounce. Christian McCaffrey joined Elijah Mitchell on the IR. Jordan Mason is nearly 100 percent rostered and works as the starter. But depth has always been important to the 49ers, and Guerendo profiles as the next man up. He should be rostered.
Dare Ogunbowale, Houston Texans
Roster Percentage: 0.1
About: Joe Mixon is the man in the Texansβ backfield, but he canβt take every snap. He also got dinged up last night. Sure, Daemon Pierce and Cam Akers are in the mix, but Ogunbowale seems to have the role of Third Down back. He made a few receptions and had some carries, giving him some potential upside in deep leagues.
Wide Receivers
Tutu Atwell and Tyler Johnson, Los Angeles Rams
Roster Percentage: 0.1, 3.3
About: First, Puka Nacua was lost to IR. Then, on Sunday, Cooper Kupp suffered an injury that forced him from the game. That leaves the Rams thin at receiver. DeMarcus Robinson is widely rostered, but we saw both Atwell and Johnson make contributions. With Matthew Stafford still there, the Rams have a decent pass offense. Either of these guys is worth a stash given the injuries that are piling up in Los Angeles.

Andrei Iosivas, Cincinnati Bengals
Roster Percentage: 0.9
About: Itβs been a rough start for the Bengals. The team also, on paper, has plenty of receivers, including JaβMarr Chase, Tee Higgins, and rookie Jermaine Burton. But with Higgins ailing, Burton still learning and Chase seemingly in a funk, Iosivas has proven to be invaluable. That was capped off with two touchdown grabs in Week 2. I donβt expect that kind of production every week but given the situation with the Bengals he seems like a good roster stash.
Josh Reynolds, Denver Broncos
Roster Percentage: 0.2
About: The Broncosβ offense could charitably be described as a dumpster fire. But someone has to catch passes, and so far thatβs Reynolds. He had four grabs for 96 yards in the teamβs Week 2 loss to the Steelers. He was one of the few free agents added this off-season and appears locked in as the Broncosβ WR2. Heβs got deep league flex appeal on a weekly basis.
Jalen Nailor, Minnesota Vikings
Roster Percentage: 0.1
About: The Vikings are thin at receiver behind Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison, who is now ailing. Thatβs especially true without tight end T.J. Hockenson, who is on PUP. In steps Nailor as the teamβs WR3 option, who has a touchdown grab in each of the first two games. Nailor isnβt a lock for a lot of volumeβseeing only five targets in two gamesβbut heβs got a role in whatβs shaping up to be a decent pass offense. He should be rostered.
Tim Patrick, Detroit Lions
Roster Percentage: 0.1
About: Itβs been a long road back for Patrick, who missed the last two seasons due to injury. After a good showing in the pre-season, he was a surprise release by the Broncos. He ended up on the Lionsβ Practice Squad and got brought up for his first game Sunday. The Lions are thin at receiver, and with Amon-Ra St. Brown ailing with a knee injury, Patrick is a great grab in deep leagues. I like his upside.
Jalen Tolbert, Dallas Cowboys
Roster Percentage: 0.4
About: Tolbert has looked good for the Cowboys, seeing nine targets in Sundayβs game with the Saints. He turned that into six receptions for 82 yards. The Cowboys still have CeeDee Lamb and Brandin Cooks to lead the receiver group, but Tolbert is showing himself a steady WR3 with some deep league upside.
Noah Brown, Washington Commanders
Roster Percentage: 0.1
About: Weβve seen Brown come in and have a nice role for a receiver-needy team before. Now, heβs doing it in Washington, a team that lacks a defined WR2. In Sundayβs win, Brown saw three targets and caught them all for 56 yards. Itβs not a lot of volume, and there is plenty of competition for targets, but Brown is a player Iβd stash at this point.
Britain Covey, Philadelphia Eagles
Roster Percentage: 0.1
About: A.J. Brown missed Monday nightβs game and is likely to miss at least another week. That creates an opening in the Eagles passing game. As youβd expect, DeVonta Smith led the way. But right behind him was Covey, who saw six targets and caught them all for 23 yards. It wasnβt a huge performance, but it does give him some flex appeal if Brown is out.
Tight Ends
Mike Gesicki, Cincinnati Bengals
Roster Percentage: 1.6
About: Gesicki has been a weapon for the Bengals so far this season. He should have had a touchdown in Week 1, but it was overturned in what the NFL later said was a bad call. Still, he had three receptions in that game and followed it up with seven receptions for 91 yards Sunday in Kansas City. Gesicki has talent and has found a role with the Bengals. He should be rostered.

Brenton Strange, Jacksonville Jaguars
Roster Percentage: 0
About: Evan Engram was a surprise inactive on Sunday morning, being ruled out pre-game with a hamstring injury. Thatβs the kind of injury that has the potential to linger, which brings us to Strange. He stepped up with Engram out, catching three passes for 65 yards. Tight ends in a Doug Pederson offense have fantasy value, so Strange is a player that should be rostered.
Luke Schoonmaker, Dallas Cowboys
Roster Percentage: 0.5
About: With Jake Ferguson ailing due to a knee injury, Schoonmaker stepped in, catching six passes for 43 yards Sunday. Ferguson avoided a major injury, but with a bone bruise and swelling he is no lock for Week 3. Schoonmaker showed his potential and value, enough to make him a viable replacement option that should be rostered.
Darnell Washington, Pittsburgh Steelers
Roster Percentage: 0.2
About: Arthur Smith strikes again! Weβve seen exactly one touchdown in two games for the Steelers, and it went to Washington. As a tight end that is a massive target, you can see Smithβs fascination with using him in the Red Zone. He definitely doesnβt have a stable floorβunless your league gets points for blocking. But, if youβre desperate, heβs an intriguing stash.
