The 2025 season is upon us. Are you ready? Hopefully, you’re in for a winning campaign. But those of us who play Dynasty know it’s a 365-day-a-year endeavor. So, this is the time to make pickups and stashes that could pay off this season. Week 2 is in the books. Below are some players worth seeking out moving forward. All roster percentages courtesy of the NFL.

Quarterbacks

Carson Wentz, Minnesota Vikings

Roster Percentage: 0
About
: It’s Week 3 of the NFL season, and already we’re in a bind in Superflex leagues. J.J. McCarthy has an ankle injury that will keep him out for Week 3, possibly even longer. Next man up is Wentz, who has plenty of starting experience. He should be in your lineup.

Mac Jones, San Francisco 49ers

Roster Percentage: 0.3
About
: Jones was called on to start for the 49ers in Week 2, playing well and earning a win in New Orleans. Brock Purdy is still ailing and might be out for a few more weeks. Jones is not only worth a pickup, but he could also be a decent Superflex start.

Jake Browning, Cincinnati Bengals

Roster Percentage: 0
About
: Joe Burrow was injured in Week 2. Now, he’s set for surgery that will have him out for three months. Browning came in and picked up the slack, slinging the ball and earning a win. He’s the man for now, and he needs to be rostered.

Tyrod Taylor, New York Jets

Roster Percentage: 0
About
: Justin Fields was knocked out of Week 2 with a concussion. Taylor filled in, and though it wasn’t pretty, he’d be in line for the start again if Fields can’t go. If you’re desperate, he’s a roster consideration.

Marcus Mariota, Washington Commanders

Roster Percentage: 0
About
: Jayden Daniels is dealing with a knee injury. The report, as of early this week, is that he should be able to play in Week 3. If you have Daniels, you want a backup option. Mariota might be that guy.

Running Backs

Chris Rodriguez and Jeremy McNichols, Washington Commanders

Roster Percentage: 0.3; 0.1
About
: Austin Ekeler tore his Achilles, and his season is over. Jacory β€œBill” Croskey-Merritt is the lead back, but the next men up are McNichols, who has already been involved, and Rodriguez. Both of them should be rostered.

LeQuint Allen, Jacksonville Jaguars

Roster Percentage: 0.1
About
: The Jaguars moved on from Tank Bigsby, who was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles. While Travis Etienne is the lead back and workhorse, moving Bigsby opens up opportunities for Bhayshul Tuten and Allen. Allen doesn’t have a defined role, but he’s in the mix. He’s worth a deep league roster spot.

Wide Receivers

KaVontae Turpin, Dallas Cowboys

Roster Percentage: 1.3
About
: After two weeks, it’s clear the Cowboys intend to get Turpin the ball. He’s getting run plays, targets, and more. He’s also a primary return man, which is a bonus if your league offers return yardage bonuses. He should be rostered.

Devontez Walker, Baltimore Ravens

Roster Percentage: 0.1
About
: Walker caught two touchdowns on Sunday. He’s a part of the passing tree for a team that has put up 81 points in two games. The Ravens are using their wide receivers, and Walker’s success on Sunday could well earn him more targets. He’s a good deep league stash.

Tyquan Thornton, Kansas City Chiefs

Roster Percentage: 0.2
About
: With Rashee Rice suspended and Xavier Worthy ailing, the Chiefs need weapons. Sure, Thornton didn’t impress us much as a Patriot. But he can stretch the field, and it seems Patrick Mahomes is looking for him. He’s worth a pickup.

Parker Washington, Jacksonville Jaguars

Roster Percentage: 0.1
About:
I don’t know what’s going on in Jacksonville. However, I do know that Washington received more passing yards than Brian Thomas, Jr., or Travis Hunter on Sunday. It’s a thin receiver group. Washington is worth a roster spot.

Tight Ends

A.J. Barner, Seattle Seahawks

Roster Percentage: 0.3
About:
I still think Elijah Arroyo is the better player to roster at tight end for the Seahawks. But Barner has more NFL experience and has been involved as the team replaces Noah Fant. He even had a touchdown in Week 2. He should be rostered.

Jake Tonges, San Francisco 49ers

Roster Percentage: 1.0
About
: Injury breeds opportunity. Tonges was a Week 1 hero, catching the game-winning touchdown. With George Kittle on the IR, Tonges caught four passes for the 49ers in Week 2. He should be rostered.
