The 2024 Season is in the books. While thereβs still some playoff football to help us see how players do in the clutch, for dynasty players, itβs a time to sit back, take stock, and see how players fared. Over the next few months, Iβll look back at the 2024, 2023, and 2022 classes by position. Iβll be evaluating if their stock rose, remained the same, or dropped during the course of the season. Now could be the time to sell high, buy low, or hold on to a winning hand. Today, I continue with the 2024 Quarterbacks.
Stock Up: Jayden Daniels, Washington Commanders

About: Itβs hard to imagine a better rookie year than what we saw from Daniels. He finished as QB5, won Offensive Rookie of the Year honors, and led the Commanders to the NFC Championship Game. What will he do for an encore? The Commanders have already added linemen and weapons, which could raise Danielsβ ceiling. Heβs a Top 5 option in Dynasty and looks like the best of the QBs drafted last year.
Stock Up: Drake Maye, New England Patriots
About: Maye didnβt start Week 1, but he made his presence felt when he got in. From Week 6 on, he was QB18. And that came with a dearth of weapons on a bad team. The Patriots are making strides with a new coach and looking to add weapons. Heβs the unquestioned starter and now works with Offensive Coordinator Josh McDaniels. Itβs looking good for Maye, who should be a solid QB2 in Dynasty with upside.
Stock Up: Bo Nix, Denver Broncos

About: Nix was another of the rookie quarterbacks who started from Week 1. He was handed the reins of a team that appeared to be rebuilding. Instead, he finished as QB7, led the Broncos to 10 wins, and got them into the playoffs for the first time since Peyton Manning retired. Thatβs a Herculean accomplishment, especially since itβs probable that that was the worst roster he will have as a Bronco. Heβs a low-end QB1 for me in dynasty.
Stock Up: Joe Milton, New England Patriots
About: Milton was the second quarterback the Patriots took in the draft and spent most of the year as the QB3 on the depth chart. But he got a chance to show what he could do against the Bills in Week 18. He threw for 241 yards and a touchdown, leading the Patriots to a win. Thatβs made him an interesting trade target this off-season. Itβs also made him a player worth rostering in Superflex. Thatβs a big step up from where he began 2024.
Stock Neutral: Michael Penix, Jr., Atlanta Falcons
About: No one knew when Penix would get a chance to start. Turns out, it came early in his career. With Kirk Cousins floundering, the Falcons turned to Penix for the final three games. He finished as QB17 over that stretch. He showed promise and has been tapped as the Falconsβ starter heading into 2025. That gives him strong QB2 upside in Dynasty, giving him a chance to return value to those who drafted him ahead of schedule.
Stock Neutral: J.J. McCarthy, Minnesota Vikings
About: It was a redshirt year for McCarthy, who was injured in pre-season and didnβt take a snap as a rookie. Sam Darnold led the Vikings to a 14-3 regular-season record but lost in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs. Now, Darnold is in Seattle, and McCarthy has been named the starter for the Vikings in 2025. Itβs a vote of confidence for a player who remains largely an unknown on the field in the NFL at this point.
Stock Down: Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears

About: Sure, Williams didnβt explode as a rookie. But the Bears cleaned house mid-season, and he worked with three different offensive play callers. It wasnβt as bad as some people make it out to be. So, why is he listed as stock down? In 2024, many had him as the highest ranked of the rookie QBs. Now, he looks like heβd be fourth or fifth at best. Can he rebound? Sure. Should he still be ranked as a QB2? Yes. I think Ben Johnson should help with his development. But it wasnβt a great rookie year.
Stock Down: Spencer Rattler, New Orleans Saints
About: Heading into 2024, some wondered if Rattler could be a franchise quarterback in waiting. Thanks to an injury to Derek Carr, he got plenty of opportunities to start. He went 0-6, completing just 57 percent of his passes for 1,317 yards, four touchdowns and five interceptions. It was an inauspicious showing that offers some serious questions about his long-term future. Could he rebound under the tutelage of Kellen Moore? Itβs possible. But right now, itβs not a lock he should be rostered in Dynasty or that the Saints see him as more than a depth piece in the quarterback room.
