The NFL Season is here, but we’ve been in it all year long. As Dynasty players, the season never really ends. But keeping up with the fluctuations week-to-week can help provide you with an advantage. That’s the point of the stock watch—to process what we see on the field and apply it to players whose value is rising and whose value is taking a hit. Those fluctuations can help guide your management decisions as you shape your Dynasty roster for the long haul. Week 17 of the season is in the books. Let’s look at what we learned. We’ll look at one player at QB, RB, WR, and TE whose value improved, and one whose value took a hit. Let’s dive in.

Quarterbacks

Stock Up: Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers

About: This off-season, the 49ers paid Purdy a lot. It caused them to shed other players, as so often happens to teams with a top-end franchise quarterback. But Purdy got off to a slow start and, with injury, missed several games while Mac Jones looked great. That started the questions. But, as the 49ers enter Week 18 with a shot at being the NFC’s top seed, Purdy has answered those questions. After helping dismantle the Colts on Monday night in Week 16, Purdy was on fire in Week 17 against the Bears. He threw for more than 300 yards and three touchdowns, rushing for two more. In short, Purdy showed why the 49ers made the investment. He’s worth the investment in dynasty, too.

Stock Down: Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

About: Mayfield was a wonderful story the past two years in Tampa Bay. This year, after starting at an MVP level, he’s crumbled as the team fell apart around him. Against a woeful Miami Team, Baker posted just 17 points while adding three turnovers. That’s not what you’re looking for in your fantasy lineup. Despite all his weapons being back, Baker doesn’t appear to be on track. It’s something to monitor going forward.

Running Backs

Stock Up: Derrick Henry, Baltimore Ravens

About: If the Ravens make the playoffs, it will be on the back of Henry. He had some highs and lows earlier this season, but down the stretch, he’s been the most powerful and most effective part of the Ravens’ offense. He showed that again Saturday, going for more than 200 yards and four touchdowns, likely helping win some fantasy leagues. He’s getting older, and he’s at the end of his Ravens’ contract, but he shows no signs of slowing down, yet. Henry is still a valuable asset in fantasy football.

Stock Down: Tyjae Spears, Tennessee Titans

About: Many had questions about Spears coming into the league. And yet, the Titans seemingly chose him in a platoon with Tony Pollard over Henry. That was a mistake. Between injuries and inefficiency, Spears hasn’t been a playable part of the offense in the last two years. If you have been holding on to him, it might be time to let go.

Wide Receivers

Stock Up: Christian Watson, Green Bay Packers

About: I haven’t been the biggest Watson fan. He feels like such a boom/bust player, and the injury history is beyond frustrating. Clearly, the Packers felt that way, too, grabbing Matthew Golden in the draft as they prepared to move on with Watson in a contract year. And yet, when he’s on the field, he’s the Packers’ best receiver. He’s been strong down the stretch and explosive. Whether it’s the Packers bringing him back or Watson moving to another team, I like him as a potentially impactful player in 2026.

Stock Down: Justin Jefferson, Minnesota Vikings

About: Jefferson is an incredible receiver. The narrative prior to 2025 is that he was quarterback-proof. That hasn’t been the case this year. Jefferson gets some targets, but production has been harrowing to come by with Max Brosmer, J.J. McCarthy, and Carson Wentz under center. Jefferson, who was likely a First-Round pick in re-draft and the cornerstone of your dynasty roster, is just WR25 on the season. With this same quarterback options staring him in the face in 2026, it’s officially time to panic.

Tight Ends

Stock Up: Chig Okonkwo, Tennessee Titans

About: All the talk of late has been about Gunnar Helm, and he’s shown promise. But the Titans have a veteran tight end who can produce, too. And Okonkwo showed he’s still got some upside to his game Sunday with a big three receptions for 55 yards and a touchdown. It’s unclear what his role will be going forward, as the Titans could focus on a youth movement. But whether it’s in Tennessee or with another squad, we can’t count Okonkwo out.

Stock Down: Ben Sinnott, Washington Commanders

About: Sinnott was a highly drafted prospect who seemed to have a good shot at targets in an emerging Commanders’ offense. Two years in, he’s been a non-factor. Last year, and to start this year, you could blame it on the resurgence of veteran Zach Ertz. But even after Ertz was lost for the year, Sinnott has been a non-factor. He has only nine receptions all season. At this point, he might not even be worth a roster spot.
