The NFL Season is here, but we’ve been in it all year. As Dynasty players, the season never really ends. But keeping up with the fluctuations week-to-week can help you gain an advantage. That’s the point of the stock watchβ€”to process what we see on the field and apply it to players whose value is rising and whose value is taking a hit. Those fluctuations can help guide your management decisions as you shape your Dynasty roster for the long haul.

Week 3 is in the books; let’s look at what we learned. We’ll look at one player at QB, RB, WR, and TE whose value improved and one whose value took a hit. Let’s dive in.

Quarterbacks

Stock Up: Justin Fields, Pittsburgh Steelers

About: Yes, the Steelers lost on Sunday, but Fields looked good in bringing them back and getting them close. He rushed for two touchdowns, leading the team on the ground, and he threw for another. Better yet, he went for more than 300 yards passing and has thrown just one interception in four games. Fields has not only been good for the Steelers, but he’s also back to being a great play in fantasy. It’s hard to imagine Russell Wilson getting this job even when he is healthy.

Stock Down: Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars

About: The Jaguars are a woeful 0-4. While Lawrence was a touch better early for the Jaguars in Week 4 after being called out by Doug Pederson following a Week 3 blowout, it wasn’t good enough. Even so, while he threw two touchdowns, he went for less than 200 yards passing and was just over 50 percent completions. That’s not good enough for a Franchise quarterback, especially one making $55 million a year. It’s also not good enough for fantasy, where Lawrence is barely a low-end QB2.

Running Backs

Stock Up: Bucky Irving, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

About: The rookie is making a splash for the Buccaneers in the backfield. He led the team in rushing for the second week in a row, earning the same number of carries as Rachaad White and getting a rushing touchdown. He’s not as strong a receiver, but Irving is earning snaps and should be earning the attention of fantasy managers. He’s working his way into a weekly lineup consideration.

Stock Down: Travis Etienne, Jacksonville Jaguars

About: When you’re winless, the focus is on you. I called out Lawrence, but he’s not alone in seeing his dynasty stock slump. Etienne earned a fifth-year option after his outstanding play in 2023, but he’s looked much less reliable in 2024. He’s averaging less than 60 yards a game rushing, hasn’t been much of a factor in the passing game, and has only two touchdowns. That’s not good enough, and it’s also not encouraging that he’s been outrushed by Tank Bigsby twice this season, including on Sunday.

Wide Receivers

Stock Up: Wan’Dale Robinson, New York Giants

About: While Malik Nabers has gotten a lot of the headlinesβ€”and rightly soβ€”he’s not the only receiver who is turning it up. Robinson has been a PPR gem alongside Nabers in the Giants’ offense. He has 26 receptions in four games, a little more than six grabs per game on average. The yardage hasn’t been incredible, but he’s had a stable floor with 9.8 points or more in every game this season. He’s an every-week start, a boon to fantasy managers.

Stock Down: Gabe Davis, Jacksonville Jaguars

About: Davis signed a big free agent deal to leave Buffalo this off-season, and so far, returns for the Jaguars and fantasy managers have been diminishing. He’s always been something of a boom/bust option, but it’s been nearly all bust in 2024. Davis has just nine receptions for 121 yards all season, including one reception for -2 yards on Sunday. Davis isn’t playable and has no trade value…

Tight Ends

Stock Up: Tucker Kraft, Green Bay Packers

About: In the Packers’ young offense, they took two tight ends last off-season, drafting Kraft and Luke Musgrave. In their first year, the two played reasonably even. But here, in year two, we see Kraft start distinguishing himself. He has 12 receptions in 2024, with Musgrave only mustering five. Sunday, he saw nine targets, catching six for 53 yards and a touchdown. Kraft is the TE you want to roster in Green Bay.

Stock Down: Greg Dulcich, Denver Broncos

About: First, health held Dulcich back. But this season, he’s been available in every game. Still, he’s not a playable asset. Sunday, Dulcich had just one target and no catches. In four games, he has just five receptions on 12 targets for 28 yards, with no receptions in the last two weeks. Dulcich is verging on being droppable, even in Dynasty.
