The NFL Season is here, but we’ve been in it all year long. As Dynasty players, the season never really ends. But keeping up with the fluctuations week-to-week can help provide you with an advantage. That’s the point of the stock watchβ€”to process what we see on the field and apply it to players whose value is rising and whose value is taking a hit. Those fluctuations can help guide your management decisions as you shape your Dynasty roster for the long haul. Week 8 of the season is in the books. Let’s look at what we learned. We’ll look at one player at QB, RB, WR, and TE whose value improved, and one whose value took a hit. Let’s dive in.

Quarterbacks

Stock Up: Justin Fields, New York Jets

About: The Jets entered the week 0-7. Worse yet, Justin Fields was embattled. Even his owner was commenting about his play. Most of the week, it looked as though Fields was to be replaced by veteran Tyrod Taylor. Instead, Aaron Glenn announced Fields as the starter late in the week. Fields responded with one of his best games, throwing for 244 yards and a touchdown, adding more on the ground. He did it without Garrett Wilson, earning the Jets their first victory. It was a performance that should answer the criticsβ€”for now.

Stock Down: Kirk Cousins, Atlanta Falcons

About: Cousins earned a huge contract to come to the Falcons in 2024. But his play on the field wasn’t good enough. He was replaced by Michael Penix, Jr., as the Falcons’ starter. With Penix nursing an injury, Cousins got a start. It was a home game against the woeful Dolphins. That figured to be a good chance for Cousins to remind people of his skill. Instead, we got a limp performance with just 173 yards as the one-win Dolphins blew out the Falcons at home. It looks like time as a starter has passed Cousins by at this point. If you’re holding him, you might free up that roster spot.

Running Backs

Stock Up: Tank Bigsby, Philadelphia Eagles

About: After being dumped by the Jaguars earlier this year, Bigsby’s value seemed all but dead. But Sunday, he got a shot after Saquon Barkley left the game injured. He turned nine carries into more than 100 yards on the ground. With Barkley battling a groin injury, Bigsby could see a bigger role moving forward. If you’ve been holding him, your moment is near. If he’s on the wire, he might be worth a stash.

Stock Down: Jordan Mason, Minnesota Vikings

About: For a minute there, Mason looked like a great bet for fantasy production. With Aaron Jones out, he was the man for the Vikings. But it was an uneven few weeks at best. Now that Jones is back, Mason’s value is really hard to determine. He had four carries for just three yards Thursday. Yes, it was a blowout loss. Still, it’s a grim sign. That means Mason is far from a lock to be worth a start in your fantasy lineup.

Wide Receivers

Stock Up: Ladd McConkey, Los Angeles Chargers

About: After a great rookie year, it was a slow start to year two for Ladd. But of late, he’s kicked it back into high gear. He’s seen nine or more targets in each of the past three games, putting up at least 15 PPR points in each of them. That leaves McConkey in a great position to contribute to your fantasy lineup once again.

Stock Down: Matthew Golden, Green Bay Packers

About:Β Once upon a time, some mean girls tried to make the term fetch happen. When I see Golden, I think about that. After a good combine that showed he’s fast and a First-Round draft spot, many assumed Golden would take off. With Christian Watson not available to start the season and Jayden Reed quickly to IR, it seemed his chance was even better. But it never happened. Now, Watson is back, and Reed is close behind. Meanwhile, Golden caught three passes for four yards. Golden should still be rostered, but he’s not a lock for production on a weekly basis at this point.

Tight Ends

Stock Up: Kyle Pitts, Atlanta Falcons

About: It’s been a long, uneven road for Pitts and fantasy players. He was supposed to be a tight end to revolutionize the position. But it hasn’t always looked that good. And yet, in 2025, he’s getting back on track. He’s sitting as TE9 on the season, averaging more than 11 points per game. For those who’ve held on to Pitts, you have to feel better about putting him in your weekly lineup.

Stock Down: Isaiah Likely, Baltimore Ravens

About: Likely got off to a fast start in 2024 and looked like he was on his way to becoming the Ravens tight end you wanted to roster. But 2025 has been a house of horrors. He struggled with injuries early, which kept him off the field altogether. Now that he’s back, he’s still not part of the attack. Sunday, even Charlie Kolar was more valuable for fantasy. Likely could still be the future, but the future doesn’t look that close right now.
