All C2C Winning Edge team, coach, and player ratings are designed to work on the same numerical scale, with the vast majority falling between 70 and 100, with 85 being roughly FBS average.

  • Team Strength Rating – Primary overall team power rating, used to calculate projected point spreads for every game featuring an FBS team
  • Roster Strength Rating – Overall team talent rating, calculated using CFB Winning Edge individual player video game ratings (VGR)
  • Offensive Roster Strength Rating – Team talent rating using only a team’s offensive players
  • Defensive Roster Strength Rating – Team talent rating using only a team’s defensive players
  • Head coach Rating – Weighted average of Historical Team Performance ratings as a head coach. First-time FBS head coaches are assigned a generic rating of 80.00 (Power Five) or 75.00 (Group of Five).
  • OC Rating – Weighted average of Historical Offensive Team Performance ratings as a primary play-caller. First-time FBS play-callers are assigned a generic rating of 80.00 (Power Five) or 75.00 (Group of Five).
  • DC Rating – Weighted average of Historical Defensive Team Performance ratings as a primary play-caller. First-time FBS play-callers are assigned a generic rating of 80.00 (Power Five) or 75.00 (Group of Five).
  • Team Performance Rating – Overall on-field team grade calculated using advanced on-field statistics across all categories
  • Offensive Team Performance Rating – Offensive on-field team grade calculated using advanced on-field statistics across offensive categories
  • Pass Offense Team Performance Rating – Offensive on-field team grade calculated using advanced on-field statistics across passing categories
  •  Rush Offense Team Performance Rating – Offensive on-field team grade calculated using advanced on-field statistics across rushing categories
  • Defensive Team Performance Rating – Defensive on-field team grade calculated using advanced on-field statistics across defensive categories
  • Pass Defense Team Performance Rating – Defensive on-field team grade calculated using advanced on-field statistics across passing categories
