On a recent episode of The Wildcat Scoop, Jason Scheer of the Wildcat Authority described receiver Jeremiah Patterson as the surprise thus far of Arizona’s training camp. “He’s the same size. He’s probably the same speed. He wears the same number. So if you go into practice, you’re like, is that Jacob Cowing?” said Scheer.

Patterson played two seasons at College of San Mateo before enrolling at Arizona last season. Patterson had 90 receptions for 1118 yards in his two seasons at San Mateo.

Scheer went on to say that Patterson made the most of additional reps playing in the slot with star Tetairoa McMillan being held out earlier in training camp and that Patterson had all but “locked up” the starting punt return duties.

“If you asked me the top 3 receivers, who I would start,” said Scheer, “It would probably be TMac, [Malachi] Riley, and Patterson.”

Jeremiah Patterson is not currently ranked in Campus2Canton’s rankings.
