Ryan Grubb, the Alabama offensive coordinator, has come out and stated that Ty Simpson would be the starter at quarterback if the season started today. Simpson has sat behind Jalen Milroe for the past two seasons and is now looking to get his shot at being QB1. Austin Mack has reportedly impressed during the spring and Keelon Russell has an exciting young player to watch, but it seems for now, the job is Simpsons to lose.
