As we step into Week 4 of the college football season, we find ourselves armed with an expanding dataset to guide our decisions on the evolving trends and tendencies of the 2023 season. To navigate this ever-changing landscape, we’ll continue to blend the insights gleaned from this year’s action with historical data, ensuring a balanced approach as we delve into the PrizePicks lines that could define our Week 4 fantasy success. So, with a steady footing and an eye on both the present and the past, let’s dive in.
Friday – Braelon Allen (Wisconsin) More Than 15.5 Receiving Yards
For our Friday Night play, we’ll take a look at Braelon Allen’s receiving line. Through three games, he’s averaged five receptions per game but hasn’t been able to do a bunch with the catches he’s earned (averaging 2.8 yards per reception). Purdue, however, seems to be vulnerable to RBs in the passing game as Elijah Gilliam had a reception for 14 yards in Week One, Bhayshul Tuten had two for 45 receiving yards in Week Two, and LeQuint Allen had six for 62 receiving yards last week. I know Allen’s splitting the backfield with Melusi a good deal this season. However, this feels like a very weak line considering the performance thus far this season by Purdue against RBs in the passing game.
