After this week, we will be 25% done with the College Football season. Four weeks down (as we include Week Zero) and twelve more to go. So as we start to see teams telling us who they are, we need to listen. The folks who set the projections at PrizePicks sure are, and as we look at the offerings, they have kept a clear focus on the identities of these teams, and the utilization of the players is always our top focus. So with that, let’s jump into Week Three.
Bryce Young (Alabama) More Than 295.5 Passing + Rushing Yards
There are a few situations in sports that are truly unfortunate spots to be in– the Angry Tom Brady/Aaron Rodgers games, Andy Reid off of a Bye Week, and Nick Saban off of an underperforming/undisciplined showing. These situations tend to spell disappointment for any that cross their path. I’m already sending an Edible Arrangement to Louisiana Monroe this weekend because it is a tough look to face the Crimson Tide after their performance against Texas. The Alabama team committed 15 penalties resulting in 100 yards going to the Longhorns. Saban will be working this offense hard and looking to prove a point against the Warhawks. While there’s a slight risk in the coaching staff wanting to protect Young, I think getting this offense in rhythm is worth more than the risk poses. “More” seems like the easy play here.
