The 2025 NFL season is here, and with it come some lineup questions. Which moves should you make to maximize your points? Let this weekly post be your guide as I offer one start and one sit suggestion at QB, RB, WR, and TE. These suggestions are based on my rankings compared to the consensus each week. And because we want to measure our success, check back each week for a recap on how I did.
For this project, a start is a player I think will finish in the Top 12 at QB or TE and in the Top 24 at RB or WR. A sit is a player I think will finish outside those metrics. Before we dive into this weekβs suggestions, letβs review how we did last week. All scoring is courtesy of Fantasy Pros.
Before we look forward, itβs time to look back at Week 4.
Week 4 Starts:
QB: Bo Nix, QB 5 Hit. Nix had a great game Monday night.
RB: James Cook, RB10 Hit. Cook continues to roll for the Bills.
WR: Puka Nacua, WR1 Hit. Nacua has been the best receiver in the league.
TE: Tucker Kraft, TE15 Miss. Kraft got volume but no touchdowns and didnβt get big yardage.
Start Record: 3-1
Week 4 Sits:
QB: Jaxson Dart, QB11 Miss. Dart was good in his first start, cracking the Top 12.
RB: Ashton Jeanty, RB1 Miss. After three weeks of nothing, Jeanty exploded for 150-plus yards and three touchdowns.
WR: Stefon Diggs, WR18 Miss. Diggs emerged as a focal point for Drake Maye.
TE: Cole Kmet, TE23 Hit. Kmet doesnβt get enough volume for the Bears.
Sit Record: 1-3
On to the Week 5 picks!
Quarterbacks

Start: Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys
About: I know CeeDee Lamb is gone, but Dak was QB1 in Week 4. That was facing a good Green Bay Packersβ team. Now, heβs facing the woeful New York Jets. The Jets are penalty-plagued and have given up a lot of points. I like Dak to have another nice day on Sunday.
Sit: Geno Smith, Las Vegas Raiders
About: Geno was supposed to bring some stability to the Raidersβ quarterback spot. Maybe his presence is doing some, but his play has left something to be desired. Heβs already thrown seven interceptions in four games. Now, the Raiders are on the road against a decent Colts team. Iβm staying away.
Running Backs

Start: Cam Skattebo, New York Giants
About: Skattebo is RB12 for the last two weeks. Heβs given the Giantsβ offense a lift. Heβs running hard, and heβs been a decent receiver. Theyβre on the road in New Orleansβa winnable game. Malik Nabers is out, so the Giants will need to lean even more heavily on the run game. I like Skattebo to have a big day.
Sit: Jordan Mason, Minnesota Vikings
About: Mason is a good, strong runner. We saw that in Week 3 against the Bengals. In Week 4, he got just 57 yards on 16 carries. Meanwhile, Zavier Scott is getting the receiving work. Mason faces a stout Bengals defense in Week 5, their second straight week in Europe. I donβt see a Top 24 day.
Wide Receivers

Start: Quentin Johnston, Los Angeles Chargers
About: After a couple of frustrating years that led to some dynasty owners cutting ties, Johnston has emerged in 2025. Heβs not only been a hit on the field, but heβs also been the Chargersβ best and most consistent receiver. Heβs WR4 on the year and hasnβt had less than 14.9 points in any game this season. Iβm firing him up.
Sit: A.J. Brown, Philadelphia Eagles
About: Itβs been an up-and-down experience for the Eaglesβ passing game. Brown exploded in Week 3 in a comeback against the Rams, but was held to just two receptions for seven yards in Week 4. He tweeted about it post-game, which might make you think heβs due. However, the Eagles play the Broncos in Week 5, which means they will face Pat Surtain II and a strong secondary. Iβm steering clear of Brown.
Tight Ends

Start: Darren Waller, Miami Dolphins
About: Waller was finally healthy enough to play in Week 4 and responded by catching two touchdowns in the Dolphins’ Monday night win. The Dolphins play a soft Carolina Panthers team in Week 5 and have lost Tyreek Hill for the season. I suspect Waller will be a prime target to help fill the void. Heβs a start for me.
Sit: T.J. Hockenson, Minnesota Vikings
About: With Jordan Addison back and the Vikings struggling in Ireland, T.J. Hockenson was just TE22 in Week 4. This week, the Vikings are still in Europe and face another tough opponent in the Cleveland Browns. The Brownsβ defense has been effective in limiting the opposition’s offense. Hockenson isnβt a good play in Week 5.
