The 2025NFL Season is here, and with it comes some lineup questions. Which moves should you make to maximize your points? Let this weekly post be your guide as I offer one start and one sit suggestion at QB, RB, WR and TE. These suggestions are based on my rankings against consensus each week. And because we want to measure our success, check back each week for a recap on how I did.
For the purposes of this project, a start is a player I think will finish Top 12 at QB or TE and Top 24 at RB or WR. A sit is a player I think will finish outside those metrics. Before we dive into this weekβs suggestions, letβs review how we did last week. All scoring is courtesy of Fantasy Pros.
Before we look forward, itβs time to look back at Week 5.
Week 5 Starts:
QB: Dak Prescott, QB3 Hit. Dak remains hot.
RB: Cam Skattebo, RB 19 Hit. Skattebo is a lot of fun.
WR: Quentin Johnston, WR 61 Miss. It wasnβt Johnstonβs day.
TE: Darren Waller, TE6 Hit. Waller is picking up the slack for the Dolphins.
Start Record: 3-1
Week 5 Sits:
QB: Geno Smith, QB27 Hit. Smith is struggling. He wasnβt even a Superflex start.
RB: Jordan Mason, RB 22 Miss. Mason was better in Week 5.
WR: A.J. Brown, WR48 Hit. Brown continues to be a rough weekly bet in fantasy.
TE: T.J. Hockenson, TE18 Hit. Hockenson isnβt getting the volume.
Sit Record: 3-1
Now, on to the Week 6 picks!

Quarterbacks:
Start: Bo Nix, Denver Broncos
About: Iβm going back to the well with Nix because it worked well the first time. Nix also is playing the Jets, the only team that hasnβt gotten a turnover yet in 2025. Could their fortunes change in Week 6 in London? Sure, they could. But Iβm not betting on it. The Broncos are hot right now and I think that continues in London with Nix.
Sit: Joe Flacco, Cincinnati Bengals
About: This comes up for two reasons. First, the Bengals acquired Flacco this week because heβs their last hope to salvage the season. Second, Flacco beat the Browns the first time they played when he was with the Cleveland Browns. Itβs a nice story, but Iβm not buying it. That Bengalsβ line is bad, and the Packers are fresh off a bye week. I think itβs going to be a long day for Flacco.
Running Backs:

Start: Rico Dowdle, Carolina Panthers
About: With Chuba Hubbard out in Week 5, Dowdle posted more than 32 points. He finished as RB1 for the week. Hubbard is out again in Week 6 and Dowdle gets to face the fantasy-friendly Cowboys defense, his former team. Iβm expecting another big week.
Sit: Derrick Henry, Baltimore Ravens
About: Since a Week 1 outburst, Henry is just RB40 for fantasy. Thatβs not great. Heβs not finding running room and with the Ravens nearly always trailing, heβs not getting volume. As hard as it is to believe, heβs a sit.
Wide Receivers:

Start: D.K. Metcalf, Pittsburgh Steelers
About: The Steelers are quietly in first place in the AFC North. This week they face the Browns, coming off a bye week. Metcalf, a key pickup this off-season, was WR17 through the first four weeks. Heβs the best receiver on the team and heβs been connecting well with Aaron Rodgers. Heβs a solid start.
Sit: Jakobi Myers, Las Vegas Raiders
About: Myers was a pleasant surprise despite the Raiders being a disaster in 2024. In 2025, that hasnβt been the case. Geno Smith is struggling, which doesnβt help. But Myers just isnβt getting the volume. Heβs only WR34 through five weeks. Maybe heβs a flex option, but heβs not a Top 24 option at receiver.
Tight Ends:

Stock Up: Jake Ferguson, Dallas Cowboys
About: The Cowboys offense is cooking despite missing CeeDee Lamb. Lambβs been out the past two games, and heβs likely to miss Week 6, too. Itβs a good thing they have Ferguson picking up the slack. Heβs TE1 through five weeks, and it isnβt close. He has 20 points on TE2. He should be in your lineup.
Stock Down: Zach Ertz, Washington Commanders
About: Ertz was a vital part of the Commandersβ offense in 2024 and he was a boon to fantasy. This year, he hasnβt been as vital a piece of the attack for the Commanders. In fact, he was held without a catch in Week 5, the first time thatβs happened in more than a decade. Ertz isnβt a great starting option at this point.
