Dynasty is a year-round game. We’re always watching the latest news and tracking player movement, looking to stay ahead of the crowd and gain an edge. While we play the long game, week-to-week performances can drive long-term shifts or hint at future value. That’s what the Stock Watch is all about: tracking week-to-week value shifts to stay ahead of the curve when it comes to moving and acquiring players. Below is one player at each key fantasy position who improved in value and one who saw their value take a hit. Let’s dive in.

Quarterbacks

Stock Up: Drake Maye, New England Patriots

About: Over three weeks, Maye didn’t look much like the runner-up for NFL MVP. He was a one-man turnover machine, and his team was 1-2. Something funny happened over the last two weeks as Maye and the Chargers figured it out. He got a big win in Buffalo and followed it up with five touchdowns in a home win over the Raiders. In short, QB1 Maye is back, and he’s closing in on A.J. Brown’s return. Buckle up!

Stock Down: Daniel Jones, Indianapolis Colts

About: Last year, Jones was a revelation for the Colts, who started hot and were at one point the top team in the AFC. But an Achilles injury ended his season early, and the Colts wilted without him. He signed a big new free-agent contract this offseason, and he’s managed to start every game. But it hasn’t been the same. Jones isn’t as threatening on the ground, and his passing has been erratic. As a result, the team is just 2-3, and it’s a struggle to score points. Worse, Jones has become a liability in your fantasy lineup. If you were hoping for Danny Dimes magic, you might want to let him cool on your bench until he shows signs of life.

Running Backs

Stock Up: Braelon Allen, New York Jets

About: With Breece Hall getting a free-agent deal this off-season, Allen’s time as the Jets’ lead back likely won’t come. But the past two weeks, with Hall out of the lineup, have been a great audition for Allen to show what he can do. I think there’s enough work potentially in the backfield for Allen to be a flex option. And he’s certainly a high-level handcuff. But he might also be the kind of stash to hold until 2028, when he hopefully gets a chance to play a bigger role on another team. He could end up in the Tyler Allgeier position, but he’s worth stashing if you have space right now.

Stock Down: David Montgomery, Houston Texans

About: I liked the addition of Montgomery this off-season. He’s a good back and a decent receiver, and he seemed to fill a need for the Texans. That certainly seemed true in Week 1, as he scored 28.9 points. Since then, Montgomery hasn’t even reached seven points. And in Week 5, he got banged up. A struggling offense and a poor offensive line are limiting his upside. That means if you were hoping for a consistent RB2, it might be time to move on to Plan B.

Wide Receivers

Stock Up: George Pickens, Dallas Cowboys

About: It was a slow start for Pickens, who was a WR1 in 2025. After playing on the Franchise Tag, it looked like it might not be his year. But Pickens has picked it up the past three weeks. That culminated Thursday night, when he looked like his 2025 self, catching nine passes for 130 yards and a touchdown. With this defense, the Cowboys will need to score. Pickens looks back on track to be a great weekly start, along with CeeDee Lamb.

Stock Down: Kayshon Boutte, Houston Texans

About: Prior to Week 1, the Texans traded for Boutte from the Patriots. With Jayden Higgins done for the year and Tank Dell still out, Boutte was expected to lift the Texans’ offense. It hasn’t happened, even during the weeks Nico Collins was out. Now, the Texans have traded for Marvin Harrison Jr. While Harrison struggled with the Cardinals, it suggests the Texans aren’t satisfied with their playmakers, which further diminishes Boutte’s role. That makes him droppable.

Tight Ends

Stock Up: Isaiah Likely, New York Giants

About: We’ve wondered for a few years what would happen if Likely got a shot to be the guy for a team. This offseason, he followed his coach, John Harbaugh, to New York. And with the Giants, he’s been flourishing. He has 33 receptions and four touchdowns in five games as the Giants sit in first place. He’s been a go-to receiver for Jameis Winston and looks like one of the best off-season additions.

Stock Down: Jake Ferguson, Dallas Cowboys

About: Ferguson had a dreadful Thursday night, including popping up the final interception that sealed the loss. Technically, the ball went through his hands, hit his face, and ended up with the defense. Last season, he was a TE1 and kept producing. This season, it’s been a struggle. He had a two-touchdown game against the Commanders in Week 2, but the season has been up and down. The past two weeks, he has just six receptions for 30 yards. That’s not good enough for the Cowboys, and it’s not good enough for your fantasy lineup.
