Yahoo! Fantasy Sports announced today that it will relaunch College Fantasy Football for the 2026 season, returning the format to a mainstream fantasy platform for the first time since 2019.

Yahoo first launched College Fantasy Football in 2018 and operated the game through the 2019 season. The platform suspended the format during the COVID-impacted 2020 season before announcing in 2021 that it would no longer offer College Fantasy Football moving forward.
Since then, Fantrax has served as the primary destination for season-long College Fantasy Football, while newer platforms such as Blue Chip, created by Will Stone, have also entered the space.
In addition to the game’s return, Yahoo announced that longtime College Fantasy Football analyst Eric Froton will join the company’s fantasy team. Froton, a three-time College Fantasy Sports Writer of the Year, previously worked with NBC Sports and Fantasy Points and is expected to help lead Yahoo’s expanded College Fantasy Football coverage alongside Josh Norris and Hayden Winks.
The return of College Fantasy Football to Yahoo represents one of the most significant developments for the format in years, potentially introducing thousands of new players to the game and expanding the overall College Fantasy Football community.
