With Week 0 of the CFF season finally here, so has my hiatus from writing about this wonderful sport. I’m excited to get back at it and provide analysis for those young and old regarding CFB DFS. My focus will be on the top plays at varying price ranges on DraftKings. Let’s see what we have cooking for week 0!
Quarterbacks
There are three superb options here at the top of DraftKings’ pricing, and they are Austin Reed ($9,000), Logan Bonner ($8,600), and Jordan Travis ($8,800). The only thing surprising about this group coming into the slate is that Reed isn’t priced at some ridiculous $5,000 amount. Kudos to you, DraftKings, for following Campus 2 Canton all offseason and handling it appropriately.
Reed is the highest-priced player on the board, and with good reason. WKU’s offense is focused on the pass, as we all know from Bailey Zappe’s historic 2021 season. I can’t imagine seeing the same thing this season, but 45+ passing attempts and a projected passing TD rate of 67% are both easily attainable. This type of usage will always put Reed at or near the top of the rankings if the Vegas total is tempting, and of course, this week, we don’t have an official line at the time of writing this, but it should be in the high 30s at the very least.
