Here are some late-season risers making notable jumps up in my devy rankings. We now have some data and extensive looks at the players driving these changes. Typically, it takes time for consensus ranks to catch up and noticeably change, so this is an early look at some risers that not only have risen for me but potentially will rise in the Devy and C2C landscape.Β

LaNorris Sellers, QB South Carolina

Sellers was a popular breakout candidate coming into the season. It is understandable why that was the case, as his traits are very desirable. His play did not necessarily reflect a polished or proficient quarterback in the first half of the season. Lately, Sellers has shown a level of comfortability and control over the offense, which has been exceptional. Something with him has clicked, and if he continues on with this trajectory, he will continue to rise in the ranks and make a case for being a top-five quarterback in college football.Β

Kurtis Rourke, QB Indiana

Rourke has had a remarkable season, especially considering he jumped up a level of competition as a sixth-year player. This year additionally comes as a surprise as he had a very solid 2022 season but a down 2023 season at Ohio. The success of the Indiana football team certainly helps Rourke get more potential NFL scout attention. His production hits critical analytical thresholds, and he possesses great size as a prospect. In a down 2025 quarterback class, Rourke could appear as a real riser in the draft process.

Sam Leavitt, QB Arizona State

Coming into college, I was certainly intrigued by Sam Leavitt’s landing at Michigan State. Things obviously did not work out well there, but now Leavitt has become a high-quality producer at ASU as a second-year player. He has been reasonably productive and, somewhat surprisingly, helped to lead his team to a high level of success. Leavitt should continue to develop a strong relationship with a talented emerging wideout in Jordyn Tyson and within coach Kenny Dillingham’s system.Β

Isaac Brown, RB Louisville

Isaac Brown has been able to flash in a substantial way as a true freshman. Despite leaving his most recent game due to injury, Brown has taken control of a deep and talented running back room. He has doneΒ this with an extremely exciting playmaking style that showcases his efficiency. Despite some limitations with his size, he will potentially have just enough size to be a legitimate NFL prospect. I am excited to see what he builds upon after a promising freshman season.Β

Bryant Wesco and TJ Moore, WRs Clemson

Bryant Wesco and TJ Moore were top prospects in this most recent recruiting class, and some signs were present all along that we would see them play a role as true freshmen. Both Wesco and Moore have certainly lived up to and potentially surpassed expectations. They can both break big plays and have sufficient size at the position. I think they will be able to play well together in the future and flourish, assuming the Clemson passing attack remains steady enough.

Jayce Brown, WR Kansas State

Jayce Brown has had some admirers since his 2023 freshman season, and while 2024 has not seemed like his breakout year, he has had an amazing year. Jayce has been magnificent this season, considering the struggles at the quarterback position. With a 31% receiving yards share and solid efficiency to pair with it as a sophomore, Jayce has continued to improve as a player. He’s a crafty wide receiver. I am happy to roster in 75% of my C2C leagues. The future is bright.Β Β

Jordyn Tyson, WR Arizona State

Tyson had a very small sample size of impressive production as a true freshman for Colorado, but not only did he sustain a knee injury that cost him the 2023 season, but he also transferred to ASU. He has certainly excelled this season, with a 36% receiving yards share and becoming the go-to receiver for the Sun Devils. Many are catching on to Tyson’s breakout, and he deserves more attention.Β

Nick Marsh, WR Michigan State

I will admittedly say that I was not in love with Marsh’s game in high school, as I was under the impression that he would rely on contested catching excessively. He was a four-star recruit and certainly has lived up to expectations thus far. His play this year has turned me into a fan of his. Marsh can win down the field and bully defensive backs as a pass catcher. He also pairs this with nice balance and some run-after-the-catch ability, especially on deep passes. I cannot wait to see how his career unfolds, as he has got off to a promising start.

Malcolm Simmons, WR Auburn

Simmons was Auburn’s forgotten wide receiver recruit of the 2024 class. Despite not having enough recognition in the recruiting process, he was a four-star prospect, and he has been the leading freshman producer at Auburn amongst a great recruiting class of teammates. Simmons has filled a role as a more intermediate weapon, but he is a big play threat with ample athleticism to his game. I am excited for the future, as he will likely take a lead role in this passing offense.
