Overview

Week 0 has come and gone and although we didn’t get a clean sweep on our picks, we were still profitable and that’s all that matters! I’m eager to continue to give out winners and make y’all some money. I don’t like this Saturday’s slate…I LOVE this Saturday’s slate. Not only will there be a lot of good matchups, but there will be plenty of individual players looking to make an impact.

Tulane @ Oklahoma (-31.5) (O/U67.5)

Oklahoma is coming into Saturday’s game ranked #2 and rightfully so. They are led by QB Spencer Rattler, who’s not only favored to win the Heisman trophy but also predicted to be a high pick in next year’s NFL draft. Lincoln is batting 1.000 when it comes to quarterbacks the last couple of years, and this year will be no different. Oklahoma will come out at home looking to put up as many points as they can.

Oklahoma Total Points OVER 49.5

Fresno St. @ Oregon (-20.2) (O/U 64)

Fresno State came out in Week 0 and took care of business. Not only winning in convincing fashion but shutting out UConn 45-0. Senior QB Jake Haener had a slow start but finished with an impressive 20/26-336-3 line. He didn’t even play the entire game due to cramps. Oregon is known to score a lot of points as well and I don’t see them stopped by Fresno St. in Week 1.

Game total OVER 64 points

UTSA @ IL (-5) (O/U 49)

Let’s face it, this Illinois team is not the same from the past few years. We saw them take care of business at home against Big Ten rival Nebraska 30-22. This week they go up against a UTSA team who had a decent season in 2020 but can’t match the Illini’s physicality. Bret Bielema already has this team thinking they can contend, and so do I.

Illinois -5 over UTSA

LSU (-3) @ UCLA (O/U 65)

I was on the wrong side of last week’s UCLA game vs. Hawaii. UCLA overmatched Hawaii from the kickoff and was able to go into halftime with a comfortable 31-3 lead. They didn’t have to do much in the second half since Hawaii failed to show up. Zach Charbonnet ran it into the endzone three times on top of 106 rushing yards. Quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson did not have a good game at all going 10/20 for 130 yards but UCLA still managed to put 44 points. LSU did not have a good 2020 after winning the National Championship in 2019, but they were still able to put up points. The O/U is entirely too low on this game.

Game total OVER 65 points
