The NFL Season is here, but we’ve been in it all year long. As Dynasty players, the season never really ends. But keeping up with the fluctuations week to week can give you an advantage. That’s the point of the stock watchβ€”to process what we see on the field and apply it to players whose value is rising and whose value is taking a hit. Those fluctuations can help guide your management decisions as you shape your Dynasty roster for the long haul. Week 9 of the season is in the books. Let’s look at what we learned. We’ll look at one player at QB, RB, WR, and TE whose value improved, and one whose value took a hit. Let’s dive in.

Quarterback

Stock Up: J.J. McCarthy, Minnesota Vikings

About: Even halfway through his second season, McCarthy remains largely an unknown. He’s been unavailable for 22 of the first 24 games of his NFL career. In his two starts before Sunday, he had one good quarter and three dreadful quarters. But Sunday, he accounted for three touchdowns as the Vikings went to Detroit and did something even Sam Darnold hadn’t done in 2024β€”beat the Lions. It’s a big step in the right direction for the young passer.

Stock Down: Daniel Jones, Indianapolis Colts

About: Jones has been great this season. We can’t take that away from him. But he hasn’t faced many tests. He had a mediocre game against the Rams in the team’s only loss. But how would he fare against the Steelers? Jones tossed three interceptions, looking like the Jones of the Giants at times. That is a worrying sign for fantasy players and Colts fans. It’s just one game, for now. But it’s worth monitoring as we advance.

Running Backs

Stock Up: Kyle Monangai, Chicago Bears

About: Monangai was an interesting late-round draft pick and a great stash going into the season. Sunday, with D’Andre Swift out with a groin injury, Monangai got his chance to show what he can do. He didn’t disappoint. He rushed for 176 yards on 26 carries, adding three receptions for 22 yards. It was an outstanding performance that should earn him more touches in the future, even when Swift returns.

Stock Down: TreVeyon Henderson, New England Patriots

About: Yes, Henderson led the Patriots with 14 carries. But it took Rhamondre Stevenson and Antonio Gibson being injured to get there. Even then, it wasn’t impressive. Henderson, who looked like a rookie with great potential, has been mostly an afterthought. Even with the Patriots’ backfield depleted, he split time with a Practice Squad player. He’s not a drop, but this is a blow for those who used a First-Round pick on Henderson in rookie drafts.

Wide Receivers

Stock Up: Drake London, Atlanta Falcons

About: London was missing last week as the Falcons looked lost at home against the Dolphins. While Michael Penix, Jr.’s return helped, too, London made his presence felt. He caught nine passes for 118 yards and a touchdown. He’s developed into a must-start when healthy, and one of the best receivers in football.

Stock Down: Darnell Mooney, Atlanta Falcons

About: In his first year with the Falcons, Mooney was a solid play. He was a weekly fixture in lineups. In 2025, he’s been a stay away. Injuries have cost him time, but even when he’s on the field, it’s not a great return. He has just 11 receptions for 158 yards through nine games. He’s not a lineup option at this point, and he might not even be a player worth rostering.

Tight Ends

Stock Up: Colston Loveland, Chicago Bears

About: Since he was the first tight end taken in the draft in April, we’ve waited to see Loveland make his mark for the Bears. After a rough start to the season, he’s starting to get involved. He had three receptions in each of the last two games heading into Week 9. Then, on Sunday, he caught six passes for 118 yards and two touchdowns. It’s a big step up for Loveland that should leave those who roster him feeling better.

Stock Down: Jonnu Smith, Pittsburgh Steelers

About:Β Smith was a bit of an acquisition for the Steelers this offseason, and in the early going, he seemed like the best tight end option for the team and your lineup. But that’s slowly shifting. Pat Freiermuth is getting more involved, as is Darnell Washington. All of it is cutting into Smith’s targets and limiting his upside. He’s no longer a good lineup option week to week.
